The Pharmacy Programs Administrator (PPA), a division of AHA Pty Ltd, is seeking quotations for the provision of services related to the operation of the Emergency Locum Service.

The Emergency Locum Service Program provides support to pharmacy owners in rural and remote areas through direct access to pharmacist locums in emergency situations such as illness, bereavement, or family emergencies. The service aims to place a locum in any location in Australia within 24 hours, for a maximum of seven days.

Under the ELS Services Agreement, the successful provider will be responsible for receiving and assessing applications, making locum placements and reimbursing locum travel expenses and providing PPA with relevant reports for the program delivery. The successful provider will be required to provide ELS services from 1 January 2027 with an initial contract term of three and a half years, and an optional one-year extension.

Suitable suppliers are invited to submit responses in line with RFQ documentation and guidelines published on the PPA website and on Australian Tenders. All RFQ documentation can be accessed on this web page.

Queries related to the RFQ must be sent to ppa@ppaonline.com.au by Tuesday 22 September 2026.

Submissions close on Tuesday 29 September at 5pm AEST.
