COVID-19 transition to the National Immunisation Program (NIP)

September 1, 2026

The COVID-19 Vaccination in Community Pharmacy (CVCP) Program will cease from 1 October 2026 and COVID-19 vaccines will transition to the National Immunisation Program. Eligibility for funded COVID-19 vaccines will be updated to focus on people at highest risk of severe disease.

CPE and RITA Car Travel – Cents per kilometre method

For eligible car travel between 200 and 500 km round trip to attend an eligible Rural Continuing Professional Education (CPE) or Rural Intern Training Allowance (RITA) activity, reimbursement is calculated using the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) cents per kilometre method.

End of MMR Credential Transition Period for the ACOP Measure
